However, some noise from the square can be heard at times. The service is attentive, even welcoming guests with a drink, but it could be slightly more efficient. The location is superb for exploring the area, being at the foot of the steep street leading up to the cathedral. The dining experience is brilliant, especially in the restaurant next to the fireplace. On the downside, some neighboring restaurants may not meet the same standard. Overall, a great value for money for a memorable stay in Vezelay.
